
Justin Ferris is a Field Service Representative with Sikorsky Aircraft supporting the Gulf of Mexico region providing support to offshore oil and gas, search and rescue, EMS and VIP on the S-76 and S-92 helicopters. During his 19 years in the aviation industry, Justin has held a variety of positions. He began his career serving 6 years in the US Army as a helicopter Mechanic/Crew Chief. In this time, Justin completed 2 tours in Iraq gaining invaluable field experience on the AH-64 Apache and the UH-60 Black Hawk. After leaving the service, Justin earned his FAA A&P certification and began his career in private industry. Continuing his passion for Sikorsky products, he joined the company in 2009 as an S-92 and S-76 production Crew Chief, traveling around the world delivering new aircraft for customer acceptance. While in this role, over 250 commercial aircraft were delivered to customers across the globe. In 2015, Justin progressed to Flight Delivery Center manager, managing a team of technicians and Crew Chiefs supporting flight testing, aircraft maintenance, aircraft acceptances and onsite training. After years gaining experience in the production environment, Justin sought to leverage his tenure in the field once again and became a Field Service Representative. His first assignment was amongst the most challenging in the industry, supporting the North Sea region in Scotland at the busiest heliplex on the planet. During his 3 years in Aberdeen, Justin provided technical expertise and guidance for more than 60 high-use aircraft in offshore oil and gas transport, the Irish Coast Guard and the HM Coast Guard. The local S-92 fleet accumulated an incredible 150 thousand plus flight hours in that time, much of which is attributed to his world-class service. Throughout his career, Justin has been a well-respected aviation enthusiast and cemented his place within Sikorsky Aircraft with his years of dedicated service and continued technical expertise both in producing and sustaining the commercial fleet.
