
Pedro Carleial is the Director of Safety and Systems Engineering at Archer Aviation, currently developing the “Midnight” 4-passenger electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
Prior to joining Archer in 2021, Pedro held multiple roles in aircraft development programs at Embraer (E170/175/190/195, Phenom 100, Phenom 300, Legacy 500), Gulfstream Aerospace (G650, G700), and Aerion Supersonic (AS2). These roles included technical positions in Systems Safety, Systems Engineering, and Continued Operational Safety, as well as supervisory roles from front-line manager to director with responsibilities including Systems Safety, Systems Engineering, and Human Factors.
Pedro graduated from the University of São Paulo in Brazil with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation, and Systems Engineering, and has a master’s degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica, also in Brazil.
